Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week assignment in Plantation, FL, working Friday through Sunday on day shifts.
Details
- CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting
- Facility operates 2 CT scanners with 2 tables
- Staffing model of 2 CT Techs per shift on 12-hour shifts
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- GE Discovery 450 (1.5T) equipment in use
- EMR: Meditech
- Procedures include CT scans, X-rays, and body scanning to produce imaging of bones, organs, and tissues
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- No on-call requirement associated with this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Tech experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- License required if applicable
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Preferred certifications include ACLS, RT(T), ASRT, and FASRT, though none are required
- Scrub color requirement: royal blue or white
- The facility is a 229-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital and has been recognized as a top-performing hospital since 1983
- Facility is a certified primary stroke center and Blue Distinction Stroke Center
- Candidates must be independent, adaptable, critical thinkers comfortable working weekends
- AHA or ARC certifications accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
