Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week assignment in Plantation, FL, working Friday through Sunday on day shifts.

Details

• CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting
• Facility operates 2 CT scanners with 2 tables
• Staffing model of 2 CT Techs per shift on 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• GE Discovery 450 (1.5T) equipment in use
• EMR: Meditech
• Procedures include CT scans, X-rays, and body scanning to produce imaging of bones, organs, and tissues
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
• No on-call requirement associated with this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Tech experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Preferred certifications include ACLS, RT(T), ASRT, and FASRT, though none are required
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue or white
• The facility is a 229-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital and has been recognized as a top-performing hospital since 1983
• Facility is a certified primary stroke center and Blue Distinction Stroke Center
• Candidates must be independent, adaptable, critical thinkers comfortable working weekends
• AHA or ARC certifications accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
