Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) night shift position at a Level II Trauma hospital in Marquette, MI, requiring 2+ years of adult experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Work on the 7th floor Med/Surg combination unit specializing in Neuro, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics at a 225-bed specialty care hospital
- Level II Trauma Center
- Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with a general pediatric component (typically 0-3 rooms at a time)
- Common diagnoses and treatments include trauma and post-operative Ortho/Neuro care as well as general pediatrics
- 24-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- EHR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 weekends required every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to other inpatient units
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of adult Med/Surg experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- 2+ years of pediatric experience preferred
- ADN or higher required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Galaxy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- The facility is part of a large health system offering a Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics
- Located in Marquette, MI — the largest community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to Northern Michigan University
