Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification and Epic EMR experience for a PET/CT-focused role at a Level 1 Trauma facility.

Details

Acute care hospital setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation
Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging
4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
On-call rotation required
26-week contract
Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required
BLS (AHA) required
IEMA licensure required
Diploma or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
Minimum 1 year of relevant Nuclear Medicine experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT studies, including acquisition, processing, and transfer of patient exams to PACS
Administers IV radiopharmaceuticals via existing IV line or by performing venipuncture
Reviews radiologist orders for completeness, accuracy, and medical necessity, and collaborates with radiologists when appropriate
Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, supply inventories, and general workplace safety
May perform duties of other modalities within the department for which the technologist holds applicable licensure
May serve in a lead or imaging coordinator capacity in their absence
RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract period
Travelers who have been on assignment for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any facility location within this health system
First-time travelers are not mentioned as excluded, but Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience are firm requirements
