Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification and Epic EMR experience for a PET/CT-focused role at a Level 1 Trauma facility.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation
- Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- On-call rotation required
- 26-week contract
- Epic EMR used; experience required
Requirements
- NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required
- BLS (AHA) required
- IEMA licensure required
- Diploma or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Nuclear Medicine experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT studies, including acquisition, processing, and transfer of patient exams to PACS
- Administers IV radiopharmaceuticals via existing IV line or by performing venipuncture
- Reviews radiologist orders for completeness, accuracy, and medical necessity, and collaborates with radiologists when appropriate
- Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, supply inventories, and general workplace safety
- May perform duties of other modalities within the department for which the technologist holds applicable licensure
- May serve in a lead or imaging coordinator capacity in their absence
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract period
- Travelers who have been on assignment for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any facility location within this health system
- First-time travelers are not mentioned as excluded, but Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience are firm requirements
