Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract at a tertiary hospital, requiring at least 1 year of general IR experience with on-call and weekend rotation responsibilities.

Details

  • Tertiary hospital interventional radiology unit
  • Average daily caseload of 4 cases per tech
  • General IR cases required; Neuro IR experience preferred
  • 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • On-call required on a rotation shared between two other techs
  • Every third weekend required
  • No floating required
  • Charting via Epic
  • Free parking on-site

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience required
  • Current BLS (AHA), ARRT (R), and CSQRSA certifications required
  • Radiation badge required — must be provided by candidate's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
  • License required if applicable
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
  • Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
  • OR scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September
