Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract at a tertiary hospital, requiring at least 1 year of general IR experience with on-call and weekend rotation responsibilities.
Details
- Tertiary hospital interventional radiology unit
- Average daily caseload of 4 cases per tech
- General IR cases required; Neuro IR experience preferred
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- On-call required on a rotation shared between two other techs
- Every third weekend required
- No floating required
- Charting via Epic
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience required
- Current BLS (AHA), ARRT (R), and CSQRSA certifications required
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by candidate's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- License required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- OR scrubs are provided by the facility
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September
