Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Travel nurses on this unit are responsible for direct patient care only — not educational duties
• Mixed Med/Surg patient population with complex and high-acuity cases
• Patient ratio of 5–6:1
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (GA) or a Compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity patient situations
• Background handling diverse and severe cases in a high-volume environment required

• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this position
