Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a hospital acute care position, requiring at least 1 year of hospital acute experience and current MD licensure or eligibility.
Details
- Fast-paced acute care hospital setting with a large therapy team
- Caseload includes a mix of orthopedic, neurological, and critical care diagnoses
- Monday through Friday schedule with one weekend day per month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
- Current MD state licensure or eligibility in Physical Therapy; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience required; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations may also be considered
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Experience with EMR documentation required
- Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include delivering PT services per treatment plans, documenting patient progress, conducting patient and family education, and supporting department compliance
- Physical Therapist Assistants with at least 1 year of hospital acute experience are also encouraged to apply
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
