Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hospital-based CT department in Southeast Wisconsin, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department with 5 scanners in a Southeast Wisconsin facility
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient population including general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head scans
• Procedural cases include biopsies and drain placements
• Occasional pediatric patients (primarily teenagers) averaging 2–3 cases per month; pediatric experience is not required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 10-hour evening shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• 40 hours per week with weekend rotation
• No floating required
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Charts in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
• Active BLS and ARRT-CT certifications required
• Experience with GE CT equipment preferred (GE Revolution and Evo)
• Hospital-based CT experience required across the patient types listed
• License required if applicable
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• 3-shift orientation to learn unit flow
• Holiday coverage includes 1 summer and 1 winter holiday per contract
• Staff are subject to a fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 60 hours per week
• Supported by fellow CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Any scrub color is acceptable; camouflage and denim are not permitted
• Free parking is available on site
