Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg/cardiac telemetry experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a 97-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 3 days per week
- Block scheduling: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Patient ratios of 1:4–5
- Charting is performed in Epic; prior Epic experience is required
- Floating may be required between two campus locations (Belleville and Shiloh) as well as within the facility
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable at time of consideration — please indicate on your profile
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of med/surg/cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
- Prior Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care including med/surg and cardiac nursing care to telemetry patients
- This is a weekend-only block schedule position; weekend availability is required
- Navy scrubs are required
- No parking costs at the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
