Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications, with a 4x10-hour day shift schedule and on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Hospital Cath Lab unit serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8–10 patients across 3 rooms with 5 beds
• Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) — no alternate shifts or schedule changes permitted
• Every third weekend required
• Approximately 10 call days per month required
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice, with the possibility of floating to a sister campus
• EMR: Epic; also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency in circulating procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a travel nurse
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
• All compliance requirements must be met on time; delays may result in a two-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
