Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week day shift contract in Vail, CO, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.

Details

  • Diagnostic imaging department in an acute care hospital setting
  • Performs CT and radiographic examinations across all patient age groups, from neonatal/infant through geriatric
  • 3x12-hour day shifts
  • Working knowledge of HIS and PACS computer systems required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting required
  • ARRT with CT credentials — R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) required
  • Current BLS required
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs frequently
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform CT and radiographic examinations per facility protocols, ensuring image quality, patient safety, and radiation safety
  • Review completed examinations for technical accuracy and communicate pertinent findings to the patient care team
  • Verify patient identity, exam orders, and demographic information prior to each procedure
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of exam room supplies
  • Must maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, radiation protection standards, and universal precautions
  • Role involves frequent walking and lifting as part of daily duties

Pros

3 12’s, not a lot of call. Easy surgical procedures, hospital provided housing (will have roommates). Beautiful landscape.

Cons

Cost of living. I-70 closes down a lot during winter. Staff drama. Some doctors are rude and condescending. Favoritism. Travelers will be sent into rooms so they can send full time staff home early.
