Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a fast-paced imaging department, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and a minimum of 2 years of CT experience including GE CT equipment proficiency.

Details

• Work in a small community hospital CT department offering X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI imaging services
• Department serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients
• Average volume of approximately 30 studies on weekdays and 14 studies on weekends, with outpatients scheduled on weekends
• Equipment includes GE Revolution Apex CT scanner and Bayer MedRad dual-head contrast injector
• EMR is Epic with Epic Radiant RIS; PACS is Philips iSite
• 12-hour day shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (36 hours/week)
• No floating requirements
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• Current BLS required
• Active license required if applicable
• Hands-on experience with GE CT equipment required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment performing routine and STAT CT exams
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize exams by acuity level, including Code Strokes and post-processing
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearning, policy review) followed by department-specific training for the remainder of the first week
• Travelers are expected to work all holidays that fall within their scheduled shifts
• RTO requests require manager approval
• Black scrubs required
