Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a fast-paced imaging department, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and a minimum of 2 years of CT experience including GE CT equipment proficiency.
Details
- Work in a small community hospital CT department offering X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI imaging services
- Department serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patients
- Average volume of approximately 30 studies on weekdays and 14 studies on weekends, with outpatients scheduled on weekends
- Equipment includes GE Revolution Apex CT scanner and Bayer MedRad dual-head contrast injector
- EMR is Epic with Epic Radiant RIS; PACS is Philips iSite
- 12-hour day shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (36 hours/week)
- No floating requirements
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- Current BLS required
- Active license required if applicable
- Hands-on experience with GE CT equipment required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment performing routine and STAT CT exams
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize exams by acuity level, including Code Strokes and post-processing
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Travelers who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearning, policy review) followed by department-specific training for the remainder of the first week
- Travelers are expected to work all holidays that fall within their scheduled shifts
- RTO requests require manager approval
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
