Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment, with a split role between CT scanning and general X-ray imaging in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

  • Hospital-based radiology department with both CT and general X-ray capabilities
  • Split role: approximately 50% CT scanning on a Canon CT scanner and 50% general radiography (X-ray)
  • Must be willing to float to perform X-ray duties up to half of scheduled shifts
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • ARRT (CT) registration and OBMI certification required
  • Current BLS required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • Proficiency with CT scanning including head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic protocols
  • Experience with Canon CT equipment preferred
  • Ability to perform venipuncture for contrast administration
  • Competency in general diagnostic radiography required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic CT and general radiographic procedures, including positioning, technique selection, image evaluation, and documentation
  • Administer contrast media and medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state statutes and institutional policy
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
  • Verify informed consent and assist with interventional procedures as needed
  • CT skills competency check will be required, covering head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic anatomy as well as safe contrast usage
  • CRASE training is preferred; if the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
  • Travel staff may be floated to other departments within their qualified scope before core staff is floated
