Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level I Trauma Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and an active FL or Compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting at a Level I Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 21:00–07:00
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Ortho and Neuro OR cases are part of the caseload
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (both via AHA), PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
- Level I Trauma OR experience required
- Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating
- Ortho and Neuro OR experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Proof of vaccination status required; declinations are not accepted
Additional Information
- This is a smoke-free facility
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are eligible but at a reduced rate compared to travel
- Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment; a re-take opportunity is available within 24 hours if the initial attempt is not fully passed, with required passing scores of 83% overall (Angoff) and 100% in the lethal rhythms section
- A study guide and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal
