Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, ER holding, med/surg telemetry, and PCU/stepdown-level acuity
Performs sheath pulls and manages cardiac drips including Cardizem/Diltiazem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, and Milrinone
Also manages insulin drips and cares for patients in respiratory distress, up to but excluding ventilator care
Patient ratio of 1:5
Charting in Epic (experience required)
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
On-call and floating required

Requirements

Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact state currently in hand
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior experience in cardiac telemetry, ER holding, med/surg telemetry, or PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown settings required
Proficiency in Epic EMR required
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
