Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of U.S. hospital experience, proficient in both CT and X-ray, for a 13-week night shift contract in Northern Nevada.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department at a main inpatient facility
• Shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts
• CT scanner: Canon; X-ray equipment: GE and Siemens
• EMR: Cerner; PACS: GE
• Position requires the ability to work independently during night shifts as well as collaboratively with staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT and radiology/X-ray in a U.S. hospital setting
• CT and X-ray registration required
• Active (non-pending) license required, if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• CPI certification required for this position
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Must have a U.S. Social Security Number
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to performing exams
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, contrast reaction response, and emergency codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter accurate charge codes
• Certifications must be from AHA only
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of prior U.S. hospital experience in the specialty is required
