Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Resource Pool position in Des Moines, IA, requiring flexibility to float across multiple med/surg units including telemetry and step-down floors.
Details
- Hospital-based position within a Resource Pool unit, requiring willingness to float to all med/surg floors
- Float assignments may include Ortho, Med/Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med/Surg Tele units
- Floating to a satellite campus approximately 9.5 miles from the main downtown location is required
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- COVID vaccination documentation required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must be comfortable working across a wide range of med/surg specialties in a resource pool float role
- Local candidates are accepted for this position; Iowa is among the states where local rates are offered for RNs
