Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Siemens proficiency for an evening shift contract at an acute care facility in Matthews, NC.

Details

• Busy outpatient and ED (Emergency Department) CT setting
• Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• All types of patient diagnoses encountered
• Required procedures include abdominal, pelvic, chest (with and without contrast), vascular chest, carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head, and spine/musculoskeletal studies
• Preferred procedures include colorectal studies (rectal contrast), cardiac CT, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), region of interest (ROI), aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography
• 5x8-hour evening shifts, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Weekend coverage may occasionally be required (Saturday or Sunday) in the event weekend staff is unavailable; a weekday off would be provided in exchange, with at least 2 weeks advance notice
• No on-call requirement
• No float requirement
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred); PACS experience preferred
• Equipment: Siemens CT scanner required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Required work setting experience: adult acute care, ICU, and Emergency Department
• Required skills: isolation precautions, contrast media preparation and/or administration, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture
• Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment is required
• Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Orientation is 16 hours and scheduled earlier in the day (approximately 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM); travelers are expected to operate the scanner independently after orientation but will never be left alone — a staff technologist is always present in the department
• Start date may begin mid-week (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) depending on class and trainer availability; full availability with no other commitments is required during the first week, as missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
• Royal blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
