Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience in a level 1 trauma setting and ARRT Radiography certification.
Details
- 400-bed acute-care hospital radiology department with 3 CT scanners
- Average of 180 CT exams performed per day
- Staffing includes 2 techs per scanner during the day and a total of 3 techs overnight
- Uses GE 512, GE 128, and GE 32-slice CT scanners
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Performs CT exams for ED and inpatient populations only
- 13-week assignment with Friday-Sunday shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a Level I trauma setting
- ARRT Radiography certification required; CT certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Ability to independently operate GE CT equipment
- Ability to perform routine CT exams for all types of ED and inpatients, including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CTA
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)

- Facility is Joint Commission accredited and ACR accredited in CT, MRI, US, NM, and Mammography
- Facility houses the only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers in the area
- Recognized by The Joint Commission for chest pain, knee and hip replacement, sepsis, and stroke care
- Compassionate care model emphasized within the department
- Required uniform is charcoal grey scrubs
- Located in Myrtle Beach, SC, less than one mile from the beach, offering year-round outdoor activities
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
