Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation night shift position in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
High neurological patient population, including stroke patients
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every third weekend required, specifically Friday and Saturday nights
Sundays are considered part of the regular work week with some scheduling flexibility available
13-week contract

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license currently in hand
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Stroke certification is a plus but not required

Additional Information

Unit functions similarly to a medical floor, with the exception that Heparin drips are not administered
Responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, mental, and spiritual needs and developing individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
RNs are expected to recognize and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment
Role includes patient and family education, accurate medical record documentation, and participation in continuing education
Part of a nationally recognized non-profit health system with acclaim in stroke, cardiac, cancer, and rehabilitation services
