Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a home health position in the Napa/East Bay area of California, with new graduates welcome and home health experience preferred but not required.
Details
- Home health setting serving patients across multiple counties in the East Bay and Tri-Valley areas of California
- Primary territory includes Fremont, Castro Valley, Hayward, Newark, San Leandro, Union City, and surrounding communities, with potential coverage in Oakland/Berkeley and San Ramon/Dublin/Livermore areas
- Day shift schedule
- Per-visit based caseload with productivity expectations of at least 27 points per week
- Weekend coverage may be required to maintain visit expectations
- Travel outside the primary service area may occasionally be required to maintain a full caseload
- Must be willing to see COVID-positive and COVID PUI patients
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Current, active California OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and current vehicle registration required
- Home health experience preferred but not required
- TB test (annual), MMR, Varicella, HepB, TDap (within 10 years), and Flu vaccine (annual) required
- Drug screen and physical required
- Must be able to travel independently throughout assigned county territories
Additional Information
- Conduct patient evaluations, routine visits, re-evaluations, OASIS assessments, and discharge visits in a home health setting
- All approved hours are calculated on a per-visit point system — routine visits and standard evals convert at 1 point = 1.33 hours; OASIS SoC, ReCertification, and RoC convert at 1.5 points = 2 hours
- Rate is all-inclusive and covers drive/travel time, visit time, documentation time, and time spent on phone calls with patients and physicians
- A company smartphone and medical devices (stethoscope, pulse ox, gait belt, blood pressure cuff) will be issued for use during the assignment
- Former employees of this facility are not eligible for travel assignments
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to acceptance; time off requested after acceptance will not be approved
