Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic IMC (Intermediate Care) unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and dysrhythmia management skills.
Details
- Work in an Intermediate Care (IMC)-level Surgical/Urology/Thoracic inpatient unit at a large academic hospital (500+ bed facility)
- Patient population includes pre- and post-operative surgical, urology, and thoracic patients
- Multi-level care unit encompassing adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
- IMC/PCU experience required, preferably with a surgical patient population
- Dysrhythmia management experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience at a large hospital (500+ bed facility) required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care within an IMC setting
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- 1-2 prior travel assignments preferred
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- When noting IMC/PCU experience on your resume, be sure to indicate the specific patient population cared for (e.g., surgical, urology, thoracic)
