Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/Med-Surg Telemetry position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital Med-Surg/Step Down unit
• Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, which may be a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on skills
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set to other units on-site or to sister facilities within 40 miles as needed
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both must be AHA-issued
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or acute care experience required
• Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• Two professional references required for consideration
• A copy of a valid Driver's License is required for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
