Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical – Hem/Oncology position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in a comparable high-volume setting.

Details

• Position is on Unit 10A, a Hem/Oncology Med/Surg unit
• Common diagnoses include oncology, step-down care, and high-acuity sickle cell cases
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg or Oncology in a comparable high-volume setting
• Experience in high-acuity, large-scale trauma or high-volume hospital environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Skills checklist matching the Med/Surg or Oncology specialty required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications and active license required for consideration
