Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Chesapeake, VA, requiring Epic proficiency, AHA certifications, and prior neurology/stroke patient experience.

Details

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6S) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule options available: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts — indicate your preference when applying
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating is required as part of this assignment
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Patient ratio is 1:7
• Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; travel nursing experience is also required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• IV start skills required
• Telemetry interpretation experience required
• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required
• No license or background hits of any kind will be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Position is located in Chesapeake, VA, minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk in the Coastal Virginia region
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
