Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Interventional Radiology (IR) unit within a hospital setting
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- 8-hour day shifts with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of critical care experience
- Cardiovascular intervention experience required
- Prior IR experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completing orientation

- Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
- Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and hospital policy
- Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care
- Provides patient and family education tailored to the appropriate level of understanding
- Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Engages in peer review, peer feedback, and continuous professional development opportunities
