Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and pediatric experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring on-call availability and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• On-call is required; details to be discussed with the manager during interview
• No block scheduling
• EMR: Epic
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the facility

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Candidates must provide all requested time off (RTO) prior to consideration, as RTO will not be approved after offer
• Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
• A team-player attitude and flexibility are important cultural values at this facility
• Candidates should be prepared to provide: 2 professional references (at least one within the past year), full DOB, SSN, copy of RN license, and copies of certifications
• Travelers are expected to function at the same level as core staff
