Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring a minimum of 3 years of CT experience and an active NJ license at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital.

Details

• Hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging / CT Scan department
• Night shift schedule: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
• Experience at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital required
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program from an AMA-approved school required
• Active NJ license required (pending license not accepted); license required if applicable
• ARRT certification required
• Full knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging principles required
• COVID vaccination plus 1 booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to kneel, bend, or stoop as needed
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• GE CT equipment experience preferred

Additional Information

• Performs CT procedures in accordance with hospital standards, state, and federal regulations, with all routine procedures completed within 45 minutes
• Verifies image accuracy and documentation within the PACS system
• Interviews patients to gather pertinent clinical history and provides patients and families with procedural instructions and education
• Participates in CQI processes including documentation, data collection, and customer satisfaction initiatives
• Maintains licensure and certifications and engages in continuing education
• May be exposed to hazardous materials or waste; ability to work with dangerous tools or equipment required
