Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Transplant ICU position requiring a DC RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, including multi-system organ failure and advanced neurological care.
Details
- Work in a Transplant ICU (S44) within an acute hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Weekends included in rotation
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required; must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Required clinical experience includes: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, chronic/acute renal failure and IV therapy, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, respiratory/thoracic care, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE use, phlebotomy, and surgical wounds with drains/wound vac
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates with a pending DC RN license may be considered for a later start date but must have the license in hand prior to beginning the assignment
- Proof of pending DC RN license status must be provided at the time of consideration if not yet in hand
- Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
