Description

American Traveler is hiring a multimodality CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital.

• 13-week contract at an acute care hospital
• Multimodality position requiring proficiency in both CT and X-ray
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Three schedule options available: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, Thursday/Friday/Saturday, or Sunday nights in CT with one overnight in X-ray
• Call requirements of up to 3 shifts per week, including weekends
• Trauma and stroke cases are a regular part of the caseload

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience in a US hospital setting, with trauma and stroke experience required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
• Current ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Active state license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• US SSN required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, correctly position patients, and consistently produce high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to scanning
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, and response to contrast reactions or codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
