Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Float Pool position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and rotating day/night shifts.
Details
- Position is within a cardiovascular/thoracic step-down float pool unit at a large hospital campus
- Potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population
- Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Holiday coverage required for at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down nursing required prior to travel
- Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience required (travel experience accepted)
- PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required
- Travelers are limited to 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system's locations, with a minimum 6-month gap before starting another assignment at any of their locations
