Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, Epic proficiency, and multiple pediatric certifications.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule (7p–7a), 4x12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours available per week
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating is required in accordance with the facility's float pool policy and candidate's clinical experience

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be considered
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant-Driven Feeding Certification required; candidates may be considered with certification pending (note: there is a $185 cost associated with this certification)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates with prior NICU/PICU float pool experience are strongly preferred
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Every other holiday coverage required
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
