Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience, with night shift availability and multi-unit float responsibilities across a variety of pediatric settings.
Details
- This is a Pediatric Float Pool (SRO) position floating across multiple units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; candidate should be aware this certification carries a cost of approximately $185)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required
- Comfort and proficiency across pediatric patient populations required
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Float assignments will be made in accordance with the candidate's clinical experience across pediatric units
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered in lieu of separate PICU and NICU experience
- Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
