Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring Epic experience and the ability to float across multiple acute care units on night shifts.

Details

  • Float pool position covering a wide range of acute care units, including Geriatric/Palliative Care, Orthopedics & Trauma, Medicine, Surgical, Neurology, Epilepsy & Stroke, Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Heme/Onc, Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health, Acute Care Special Pathogens, and ED Boarders
  • This float pool does not include critical care (ICU) or intermediate care (IMU) units
  • Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00
  • Schedule options available: 4x12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week) or 4x12 with an additional shift (48 hrs/week)
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • Every other weekend required
  • Every other holiday required
  • Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

  • Active VA state RN license or compact RN license (pending VA license will be accepted)
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Hands-on Epic EMR experience required
  • Must meet facility float policy requirements and be able to float across all covered acute care nursing areas
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration

Additional Information

  • 13-week contract
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
