Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in the Salem, MA area, requiring current MA licensure and ARRT certification with experience in screening and diagnostic mammography.

Details

• Outpatient imaging department specializing in mammography at a hospital-based setting and various offsite locations within a 10-mile radius
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms; experience with stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not required
• 1:1 technologist-to-machine ratio
• Primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with coverage available between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM depending on department needs
• Saturday shifts run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 7:45 AM to 11:45 AM
• Shifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours, totaling 36–40 hours per week based on departmental needs
• Schedule varies week to week; candidate must be flexible and willing to work independently
• EMR: Epic (charting)

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Radiology and Mammography License required; license required if applicable — conditional MA licenses not accepted
• Current ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required — AHA only; Red Cross is not accepted at this location
• Documentation of digital mammography training (minimum 8 hours)
• Documentation of tomosynthesis training (minimum 8 hours)
• Documentation of 15 hours of CEUs within the past 3 years
• Documentation of mammography statistics from the past 2 years
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Candidate provides coverage at the primary hospital location as well as offsite imaging locations, all within a 10-mile radius
• Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work independently across varying shift lengths
• Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply
