Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for an Operating Room position requiring recent trauma experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospital OR environment with five surgical suites plus a dedicated labor and delivery OR
• Diverse patient population including inpatients and outpatients across all age groups (infant to geriatric) undergoing surgical, diagnostic, invasive, and other special procedures
• Primary surgical focus is orthopedic and trauma cases, with additional procedures including ENT, cataract removal, and C-sections
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 40 hours per week: 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour shifts
• Monday through Friday schedule
• On-call required every 4th weekend

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification
• Recent first assist (RNFA) experience required
• Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma OR experience within the last 2 years required
• 2 professional references from managers required for consideration

Additional Information

• OR team includes RNs, RNFAs, CSTs, and other assistive personnel within surgical services
• Training will be provided for ENT, cataract, and C-section procedures — prior experience in these areas is not required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
