Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, Level 1 trauma background, and an active NC or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Position is in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• 13-week contract
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible at a reduced rate
• Orientations are held bi-weekly

Requirements

• Active RN license — NC or Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS and PALS, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years highly preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience required for ICU positions
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required between October 31 and March 31 — no exemptions accepted

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have been permanently employed with Duke University Health System within the past 6 months are not eligible; prior permanent employment at the health system must be disclosed
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are capped at 5–7 days for the contract
• Online modules are completed during orientation or by end of day Wednesday of the traveler's first week, and are completed annually thereafter
