Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of RN experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Work is performed in the Neuro Transplant ICU of an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to meet cultural and language needs of diverse patient populations
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing assigned patient groups, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Involves patient and family education, care plan communication, and appropriate referrals to support personnel
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification should be included in your candidate profile for consideration
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply after reaching 26 total weeks on contract
- Compliance requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) are strictly enforced and must be completed promptly after offer acceptance — start dates will not be pushed for non-compliance
