Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, fetal monitoring certification, and NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Level 1 L&D experience required; up to 2–5 years of L&D experience preferred by the hiring manager
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications required (all must be from American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Level 1 L&D experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and initiating/regulating IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Compliance requirements (drug screening, background checks, and medical documentation) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for incomplete compliance
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period before becoming eligible again
