Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, fetal monitoring certification, and NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Level 1 L&D experience required; up to 2–5 years of L&D experience preferred by the hiring manager

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current certifications required (all must be from American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Level 1 L&D experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and initiating/regulating IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Compliance requirements (drug screening, background checks, and medical documentation) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for incomplete compliance
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period before becoming eligible again
