Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (Stepdown) position requiring at least one year of ICU experience and Level I trauma background, working night shifts at a hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

  • Pediatric ICU Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
  • Level I trauma center experience required for this role
  • 13-week travel contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • ICU experience required
  • Level I trauma experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
  • Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible for a new contract
  • Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements including drug screens and background checks must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance
