Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU/Stepdown position in Oklahoma City requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience, Level I trauma experience, and AHA-issued certifications.

• Hospital-based Pediatric ICU/Stepdown unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• ICU experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and physician order changes
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension); a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for a subsequent contract
