Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring OR experience, the ability to both circulate and scrub, and rotating call coverage.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Case types include General, Orthopedic, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Neuro, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Transplant, and GYN
• Preferred case experience includes Vascular, Thoracic, Bariatrics, and ENT
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Rotating call required (day)
• Pyxis and Epic EMR used; Epic experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of OR RN experience required
• Must be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing
• English language fluency required to function appropriately in the role
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted — candidates must apply individually
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills are expected in this role
