Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(R)(CT) certification and acute care hospital experience for a night shift contract position in Golden, CO.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Computed Tomography department
• Night shift schedule: Saturday through Monday, 6:00 PM to 8:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required

Requirements

• Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• BLS (AHA) required — must not expire prior to assignment start
• Associate's degree required
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting required
• Proficiency in CT imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment operation
• Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
• Proficiency with electronic imaging, including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images
• Understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning
• Fluoroscopy certification preferred for candidates practicing in Colorado
• State licensure required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, requiring ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to produce high-quality scans
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to each exam
• Reviews and evaluates images for quality, clarity, and accuracy to confirm all necessary anatomical structures are captured
• Administers contrast media as ordered by a physician and under radiologist or physician supervision, per protocol
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe, clean working environment for patients and staff
• Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and family concerns
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other providers following procedures
• Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
• Participates in continuing education and assists in training students and other radiology technologists
• Charts using Epic EMR
• Radiation badge required — provided by the staffing supplier
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
