Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, including EP skills, for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital cardiac cath lab setting.
Details
- Hospital-based cardiac cath lab unit with EP and IR capabilities
- Cath Lab procedures include diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath, LHC/RHC, NSTEMI/STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, and peripheral (lower extremity) diagnostic/intervention and loop recorders
- EP procedures include Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes
- IR experience strongly preferred; IR procedures include G/GJ tubes, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, IVC filter placement, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, ports, GI coil and chemo embolizations, thoracentesis/paracentesis, Inari clot extraction, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, Y90s, TIPs, and biopsies — no neuro IR
- 10-hour day shifts, weekdays from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required 1–2 nights per week and 1–2 weekends per month with a 30-minute response time
- Weekend rotation is call only
- Potential to float to affiliated facilities
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; IR experience strongly preferred
- RCIS or RT(R) certification required
- Active WA State license required — license required if applicable
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Must be able to scrub and operate the table simultaneously
- Hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of experience
- Two supervisory references required (charge nurse, manager, director, or above); one reference accepted for initial consideration with a second required prior to start
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of cath lab, EP, and IR procedures across adult patient populations
- Ablations are performed approximately 2 times per month by an EP physician who brings their own EP team — EP ablation experience is not required
- Scrubs are provided
