Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burns/Surgical ICU (Ellison 14) travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Burns/Surgical ICU (Ellison 14) in an academic hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult complex surgical patients, critically ill burn patients, and acutely ill medical patients (both SICU and MICU-type)
- Thermal burn patients currently represent fewer than 10% of the overall census
- Closed ICU model — all patients are managed by a unified multispecialty team including APPs, residents, critical care fellows, and 24/7 in-house attending ICU physicians
- 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night schedule
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- BLS certification required — must be AHA only
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Local candidates are welcome to apply — candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- 2 professional references required
- No validated parking is available at this Boston location; public transportation or paid public parking ($17–$22/day) are the available options
