Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel contract in North Carolina, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and the ability to manage a full scope of LDRP care.

Details

• 8-bed LDRP unit with a 7-bed overflow postpartum department
• Responsibilities span the full continuum of L&D care: triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR circulation, PACU recovery, and newborn nursery care
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for critical situations (e.g., Category III fetal heart rate or active pushing), 2 nurses at birth (1 for mother, 1 for baby), and 1:2-3 for mother-baby couplets in postpartum
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekends in every 6-week period (Saturday and/or Sunday)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
• Charge nurse experience is a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius requirement
• Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler
• Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required, or an approved declination; booster is not currently required
• A copy of your COVID vaccination card will be needed for consideration
