Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Boston, MA, requiring ARRT certification, Siemens experience, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- Position is located in a Level 1 trauma hospital CT department within a large academic medical center in Boston, MA
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability is required
- Staff may be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with the facility as needed
- Siemens CT scanner experience is required for this role
- Equipment used includes CT scanner, Power Injector, Laser Printer, and patient monitoring devices
- Epic is used for charting
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year involving cross-sectional anatomy
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required
- Active Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license required; conditional licenses are not accepted
- ARRT registration required; CT specialty certification by ARRT (or equivalent) required or must be obtained within one year of start
- BLS certification required (AHA only; no other providers accepted)
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include operating CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images, ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization per departmental protocol
- Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist
- Executes Radiology Information System functions including scheduling exams, completing exams, and transferring images to PACS
- May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement projects, and research programs as needed
- Maintains CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and ARRT requirements
- Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking rates range from $17–$22 per day and public transportation is available
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
- RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
