Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring at least 1 year of CVICU experience, Epic proficiency, and an active CO or compact RN license.

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting in Denver, CO
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• 13-week contract
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• On-call availability may be required during regularly scheduled shifts

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — must not expire prior to contract start date
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for cardiovascular ICU patients
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Conducts health teaching, counseling, and ongoing health data collection and assessment
• BSN is preferred but not required
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• All AHA certification copies must be current and submitted for consideration
