Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Telemetry (M/S Tele) position in Massachusetts, requiring active MA RN licensure, telemetry strip interpretation, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on evenings and nights
- Rotating shifts required for day positions (7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a); night positions are straight nights
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 36 hours per week
- Floating to applicable units required when needed
- Charting system: Epic
- Free on-site parking available
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active, non-conditional Massachusetts RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Experience with cardiac drips, TR bands, and hi-flow oxygen required
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing telemetry nursing care to a diverse medical cardiology patient population
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply
- RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
