Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Float pool position covering all critical care floors, the ED, ED hold areas, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU as needed
• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment with complex, high-volume trauma cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is generally not approved — flexible scheduling is expected
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Epic EMR in use

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple units as part of a float pool, including ICU floors, ED, ED holds, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU
• When assigned to the ED, patient assignments will be limited in scope
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Minimal time off (RTO) requests will be accommodated during the contract
